Ambisonic Playground (“the App”) is a virtual reality experience developed for Meta Quest devices.
This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, how it is protected, and how you may request deletion of any stored data.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Ambisonic Playground is designed to collect as little user data as possible.
The App does not collect or request any personally identifiable information (PII) such as:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Address

  • Phone number

  • Payment information

  • Voice recordings

However, the App and its underlying technologies may automatically collect certain non-personal, technical, or platform-level data.

1.1 Device and Technical Information

To ensure the App functions properly, the following may be collected automatically:

  • Meta Quest device model

  • Operating system version

  • Performance statistics

  • Rendering/VR runtime information

  • VR interaction events (e.g., entering a scene, touching UI elements)

This information is not used to identify you and is used solely for functionality and performance.

1.2 Crash Reports & Diagnostic Data

If the App crashes or encounters a technical issue, anonymized crash information may be collected automatically through Meta’s and/or Unity’s diagnostic systems.

1.3 Unity Engine Data

The App is built with Unity. Depending on the Unity runtime configuration, Unity may collect:

  • Device identifiers (e.g., non-personal device ID used by the engine)

  • Hardware model

  • Basic usage statistics

  • Crash logs

Unity’s data practices are described at:
https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy

The App does not use Unity Analytics, Unity Ads, or any ad-tracking systems.

2. How Collected Data Is Used

Your data is used only for the following purposes:

  • To ensure the App functions correctly on your device

  • To monitor performance and stability

  • To fix bugs and diagnose unexpected behavior

  • To improve the experience in future updates

We do not:

  • Sell your data

  • Share your data with advertisers

  • Use your data for profiling or marketing

  • Track behavior across other apps or websites

3. How Data Is Stored

Most data used by the App is processed locally on your device and never transmitted.

If crash logs or diagnostics are sent (via Unity or Meta), they may be temporarily stored on those platforms’ servers.
Ambisonic Playground does not operate its own servers or databases that store personal information.

All data is protected according to industry standards and the policies of Meta and Unity.

4. How Users Can Request Data Deletion

Because Ambisonic Playground does not store personal data on its own servers, there is typically no personal information to delete.

However, if you believe that data related to your use of the App has been collected and you wish to request deletion, you can contact us directly.

To request deletion or additional information:

Email: [your email address]
Subject line: Ambisonic Playground – Data Request

We will assist you and coordinate with Meta or Unity if necessary to remove any associated diagnostic data.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may interact with the following services:

  • Meta Quest Platform Services
    (permissions, VR runtime, platform diagnostics)

  • Unity Engine
    (runtime operations and crash handling)

Each service maintains its own privacy policies and data-handling standards.

Meta Privacy Policy:
https://www.meta.com/legal/privacy-policy/

Unity Privacy Policy:

Ambisonic Playground does not integrate external analytics, advertising, or cloud-based user tracking.

6. Children’s Privacy

Ambisonic Playground is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

If you believe information from a child has been inadvertently collected, contact us and we will remove it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed.
The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version.
